About Us
The Spool Factory offers members a new way of working in an informal, bright and productive environment. Whither it’s co working space, a dedicated meeting room, a training event or off site company gathering you require, you will find all you need in The Spool Factory with the added touch of having the owner/operator on hand to help you with your plans.
Mix with other like minded people in the chill out zone, enjoy the casual atmosphere in the tea station or work in the fresh air on the west facing balcony.
Members can also avail of discounted rates in the on site fitness centre – The Fitt Factory which is located in the building.
And when the day job is over, enjoy the laid back lifestyle that Boyle, Lough Key Forest Park and the general area has to offer.

The Spool Factory is the brain child of local entrepreneur Brian Nerney who was the initial promoter of Shannonside Radio, founder of Boyletoday.com and a former Newspaper CEO and proprietor.
Incorporating ten hot desks, serviced office suites and meeting rooms for 3 – 15 people, The Spool Factory has brought a new lease of life to Boyle with exciting plans for the future.
"Having been involved in established and start up businesses for over 40 years, I have a solid knowledge of the requirements of the modern day entrepreneur. In the Spool Factory, I hope to offer my experiences and knowledge, to those who locate there, free of charge. I am also conscious of the isolation of home working and in The Spool Factory, you will have an atmosphere of working on your own but with the backup and support that is available in larger companies. In addition, it is my wish to develop an informal yet productive facility where start ups are nurtured, co working is created and an environment for collaboration, networking and sharing ideas is progressed and fostered. Hopefully we will see a mix of start ups, established businesses and entrepreneurs with business ideas all located together under one roof in Boyle."
The Spool Factory
The Spool Factory incorporates hot desks, a number of meeting rooms and private offices with state of the art audio visual equipment and up to 1000mb broadband with on site catering facilities.
“Boyle’s location – close to Ireland West Airport, 2 hours from Dublin and 25 minutes from Sligo makes the town and The Spool Factory the ideal location for your next conference, training event or corporate gathering” according to Brian.
“Many people have asked where did The Spool Factory name come from. My research has shown that that is exactly what stood on the site over 130 years ago – a factory that made spools of thread – so I thought it would be good to connect with the history of the area” concluded Brian.
